Why It’s Significant

For the Khentii region, this museum isn't just about rocks; it's about the evolution of Mongolia. While the province is famous for its ancient history (Genghis Khan), the Berkh Mine represents the modern industrial era that built today's Mongolia. It is the only museum in the country where you can literally walk through the geological layers of the earth to understand the nation’s mineral wealth.
