🌏 From the Skies to the Steppe: My Journey to Mongolia
My name is Dante Vonkayser. For years, I lived among the clouds as a pilot, traveling the world and meeting people from every corner. Despite all the adventures, something inside me felt incomplete - a quiet longing I could not ignore.
In 2024, I arrived in Mongolia for the first time. At that moment, I didn’t know that I would come to love this land so dearly. The endless steppes, the sacred mountains, and the deep blue skies spoke to me in a way no place ever had. But it was more than the landscapes - it was my Mongolian grandfather, a piece of my family lost with my mother’s departure and rediscovered through the photo albums my family kept. Mongolia was not just a place I was visiting - it was in my blood.
Everything changed in 2025. I faced a near-death experience that no words can fully capture, showing me my past, my present, and the crossroads of my life. In that suspended silence, I saw my mother, gone too soon, urging me to live fully and without fear. I saw someone I deeply loved, and understood that letting go was part of truly growing. That moment stripped away everything unnecessary and revealed my true purpose: to create, to connect, and to leave something meaningful behind.
After that experience, the depth of Mongolia’s calling became undeniable. Facing the fragility of life, I saw my losses, my paths, and my purpose. My life was not only to exist but to create - to build something meaningful for Mongolia and its people, honoring the land that flows through me and the generations that came before. Staying here, dedicating myself to Mongolia, no longer felt inevitable - it felt like destiny.
Living here, I noticed something: travelers, locals, and even expats often struggled to find reliable information about the best spots - hidden cafés, authentic restaurants, cultural experiences, or essential services. At the same time, Mongolian businesses, especially small and local, lacked visibility in the digital world. That’s when NomadGo was born.
NomadGo is not just an app - it’s a bridge. It connects travelers with authentic experiences, shines a light on local businesses, and helps everyone - from locals to expats to curious tourists - explore Mongolia with ease and confidence. It is my way of giving back to a country that opened its heart to me and honoring the legacy of my grandfather by celebrating Mongolian culture, ingenuity, and warmth.
Every feature, every location, every recommendation in NomadGo comes from my own experiences. From the bustling streets of Ulaanbaatar to the quiet corners of the steppe, I have walked these paths, spoken to these people, and felt the heartbeat of this land. NomadGo is my way of sharing that heartbeat with the world.
Mongolia is more than a destination - it is a calling, a home, and a story that continues to unfold. With NomadGo, I invite everyone to be part of that story, to feel its soul, and to connect with a land that has forever changed mine.
